Today was the first day of my second semester at FRC. I am determand to stay possative over these next, what? 18 weeks I think it is? Yeah it seems like a long time, but if I just go week by week it will fly by. I know the last semester did. I'm really enjoying college, of course I've always liked school because I like to learn. It keeps me thinking, okay it does piss me off sometimes, but hey, what's life with out some major pissy moments right? I decided to be geeky and personalize my notebook, so on the very front page I drew a picture of Sebastian Michaelis from the anime Black Butler saying good morning and telling me my schedule for the day. Geeky, but entertaining. For each class I have I have an anime character that seperates my notes. I am currently taking four classes (12 unites) at FRC...and this semester I don't have the privlege of dropping any due to financial probation. But cela'vi. I am taking English-10, History-108, Administratino of Justice-120 and Computer Science-(IDKT#). For the English class the anime character who tells me what class I am currently in (once again I know its geeky!) is Angelina or Madam Red from Black Butler. Alfred aka America from Hetalia Axis Powers is the loud mouth character who tells me when I am in History. L Lawliet from Death Note encourages me to do my best for my Administration of Justice class, AAAAAAAAND I have yet to find anyone for the computer science section. *sad face* Shy mentioned Kyouya, but if she uses him than I'll just have to think of someone else.
OKAY, now that I've shown how I cope with stuff (anime!!!!) why don't I tell you about my first day? You as in the two people who follow my blog. XD. Well, this morning me and Shyanne were going to go to FRC early so we could find our classes, all in all a good idea. I got up at 5:30am >.< not at all happy about that, dad made me an egg and about 1/4 to 7:00am Shyanne picked me up. I'd already been up for over an hour so I was awake, or well, awake enough to not wanna bite off anyones head. (Yeah i'm a cannable in the mornings, NOMNOMNOMNOM!) Well we got to FRC about 7:30-ish and headed up the hill, of course half way up there we realized we forgot to look at numbers on the bottom buildings. Yeah, fail. See, here is our schedual.
- Computer Science in room 600 (top of the hill).
- History in room 519 (top of the hill).
- Administration of Justice in room 220 ... (bottom of the hill).
- English in room 606 (top of the hill).
So we'll be getting a bit more exercise this semester, which isn't a bad thing, I just know that, that hill kicks my ass for the first few weeks. ANYWAY, okay so continueing. We asked a lady who works in one of the offices where room 220 was so we didn't have to look for it when we actually needed to head that way. Turns out its on the top floor of one of the gyms. >.O it smells really bad in there. So, that was figured out. So now all we had to do was actually head for class. So we headed to room 600, which wasn't hard to find seeing as all last semester we were in room 605. I have never seen a computer lab before, ever, in my entire life. (18 1/2 years of fail.) So you can no doubt imagin my shock when I walk into a room with what, 30, 35 computers! Me and Shy sat in the back of the class (emo corners!) like we always do and no doubt always will. This class stars ate 8:00am and is being taught by a baldish man named Mr. Arrowsmith. He seems pretty jovial and I think I may end up liking him, but it is still to soon to tell. (Idk if I said in my last three blogs about Mrs. Baumgartner? Last semsters math teacher? Well originally I'd thought she was scary, but towards the ened of last semester I really began to like her. I really miss her.) We went over our schedule and rules and talked a bit about algorithms and what that means blah blah blah. We didn't actually use the computers yet. That class ended at 8:50am. So, than it was off to History with Dr. Heaney (his dad is Mr. Heaney). He seems pretty cool. Shy said he reminded her of an older Terry (a male friend of mine), because he was tall and lanky and over all his personality was kinda like Terry's.... Though I think if Terry were to ever become a teacher there would be alot more loudness involved haha. He is one loud dude. Well we once again went over rules and what not...WE ALREADY HAVE HOMEWORK IN THAT CLASS! we have to read an essay which is about 2 1/2 pages long than read "Jacques Cartier Observes the St. Lawrence and its people" ... thing, and write about it. Okay, so maybe this guy is over eager to get started? He did say he didn't like being rushed like his was last semester, so okay that's fine. It was just kinda...surprising.
After History which ends at 9:50am we head down to the gym and room 220 for Administratino of Justice, a class neither of us really needs, but we're taking it due to how well it works with our schedules. The teacher for this class is an ex-Vietnam-vet who just got back last week from Afganistan, named Mr. Hoover. His glass won't really have homework persay, more in class stuff than anything else. I'm not really interested in this class but it seems interesting enough. we talked about some interesting things like punishment and how it differs between people. We also talked about the death penalty, I have a feeling that will come up again in class. That class ended at 10:50am and than we headed back UP the hill to English. English is taught by a woman who lives here in Crescent Mills as well (apparently just down the street from me) named Margaret Garcia-Couoh. She seems to be a pretty nice woman, and I absolutally love the classroom. The walls are a soft yellow while the front is a bright gold. There are windows on the left side of the room (high) and it's just very warm and cozy feeling...in my opinion anyway. So, well not much to really say about classes since we haven't done anything yet, though we do ahve homework in that class as well. Have to read 6 short, things and decide what kinda sticks out to us. Should be interesting. After that we went to the admins office to get a sticker for my bus-pass and a sticker for Shy's car so she won't get a ticket when parking at FRC. THAN WE WENT TO SUBWAY! yay food. lol. I was very hungry, now I'm full and...well tired, 5:30am is just a bit to early for me haha. But overall, it was a really good day. I enjoyed myself and I am looking forward to Friday. Let us hope this cheerful optimism will last.
